Dr Mardeyah Bassier is a Paediatrician practising at Melomed Hospital in Bellville. She completed a BMedSc with time in Immunology under the guidance of Professor Patrick Bouic in 2002 and then obtained her MBCHB at the University of Stellenbosch in 2005. Dr Bassier also completed various courses, including Advanced Paediatric Life Support, Advanced Neonatal Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and Advanced Trauma Life Support.
As a dedicated Paediatrician, Dr Bassier understands how important it is to listen to her young patients and their parents about the symptoms of chronic illnesses, acute illnesses, development issues and other paediatric conditions. She works closely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to provide quality care for children. Dr Bassier has a special interest in assessing newborns, managing allergies and paediatric development issues.
